Here and There

Somewhere
    between
      here and there
    is a veil.
Sometimes thin
    enough
       to hear
       soft voices
       whispering
    back and forth.
And sometimes thick,
     impossible
       to penetrate,
       or know
       what or Who
   waits beyond.
