Before

 Before I knew, 

     You knew, 

        You watched,

           You joined

              You created,

and You then dared

      to call me wonderfully made.

Before she knew,

     Before the sign,

        the stirrings within,

          the swelling belly,

            the sense of knowing,

You were making me in secret,

       nothing hidden from You.

Before I knew

     You loved me, 

        You had a plan

           not just any plan,

             but one for me,

And before they named me, 

     You knew me and called me son.
