The Invisible Light

 In the first darkness
   invisible light shines
    not the blinding light,
      the bright squinting kind,
but eternal light,
   life creating light
     dispelling darkness
        making something new
the unseen now seen.

The second darkness,
    a deep, deep darkness,
      dreaded and feared,
        the unknown beyond,
but in that darkness,
    the first light shines,
       bright leading light,
         creating once more,
behold, the new comes.

Light of the World,
    bringing into being
      all things, the seen,
        the hidden unseen,
shining in darkness,
    the invisible light
      penetrating now
womb and death darkness.

(John 1:3-5)
